Post (Peri)-Natal Depression

Results from the 2010 National Infant Feeding Survey, (https://www.aihw.gov.au/reports/primary-health-care/perinatal-depression-data-from-the-2010-australia/contents/table-of-contents) show that 1 in 5 (20%) of mothers whose children were aged 24 months or less, had been diagnosed with depression during the peri-natal period! (The peri-natal period is from the start of pregnancy until the child’s first birthday.)

If you are a woman who prefers to manage this problem without medication, then hypnotherapy is for you!

Alternatively, the use of medication and hypnotherapy together make a powerful mix, to help overcome the problem.

Hypnotherapy can be used to help you to relax deeply, to sleep better, to envisage feeling closer to your baby, to manage difficult times, and to raise your self-esteem (www.unk.com).

I am a former Midwife and Child Health Nurse, so I have worked with women who have suffered with Post-Natal Depression, on a daily basis. This has given me the opportunity to discover what is important to women with this condition, and how to use these factors, to improve their lives.
